I want to thank everyone for all the encouragement I have received here lately...you guys rock!

I decided to post my goals this year too. I hope I get to most, if not all of them.
ReplyDeleteWe also have a farm. Keeps up pretty busy most days. We have enough land we set up our own little shooting range so we don't have to go to the range anymore...no neighbors close by at all. Love the peace, quiet, and privacy.
Joyfully,

My Attempt at Blogging
I am going to be a Gloomy Gus Marie - don't get a second freezer. Try to stay away from being freezer dependent, and dehydrate and can more foods. It will help greatly if you ever lose power. I use our freezer as a holding stage until I can can the meat. My goal last year was 200 quarts of food. I only made 1/2 of that, my goal this year is to have 400 canning jars (all sizes) full of food.
ReplyDeleteWe aren't planning to buy meat anymore. If I wasn't given 40 lbs of venison we'd be eating meatless meals or more goat LOL. Supposed to have butchered our chickens this weekend, but plans changed for the roof on the new house to be completed. Hopefully, next week we will start on the chickens. I am dying for a roast chicken!
Hope to see you soon!
